Marking a Response "Complete"

Vendorful isn't just for generating draft answers to questionnaires - it's for managing the entire response process for an RFP, RFI, DDQ or Security Questionnaire. That includes tying up the process when everything is done!

Understanding Response States in Vendorful

When a response is "In Progress", reviewers are able to edit answers, generate new answers with the AI Assistant, assign reviewers, add comments, and so on.

When a response is "Completed", it goes into read-only mode, and no one can make any edits to the answers or add comments. You can still drill down into individual answers to see the content sources referenced, the audit trail of changes, and so on.

How to Set Your Response to "Complete"

Inside the specific response you want to manage, click on the "Response Info" button on the top right of the page.

Once you are in the Response Information view, find the "Status" dropdown.

Click the "Status" dropdown to see the available options: "Completed" or "In Progress". Click "Completed".

You should see that the Response now has a Status of "Completed".

When you return to the main Response screen, you will see a message in green indicating that the response can't be edited.

Marking a Response "In Progress"

To reset a completed Response to the "In Progress" state, follow the same steps as you did for marking it "Complete":

1. Inside the specific response you want to manage, click on the "Response Info" button on the top right of the page.
2. Once you are in the Response Information view, find the "Status" dropdown.
3. Click the "Status" dropdown to see the available options: "Completed" or "In Progress". Click "In Progress".
4. You should see that the Response now has a Status of "In Progress".
5. When you return to the main Response screen, you should once again be able to make edits to answers.
