Often times, a questionnaire will request that the respondent include documentation or other files as part of the response. Bearing this in mind, Vendorful makes it easy to add attachments to answers.
Attaching a File to an Anwer
Currently, Vendorful does not automatically identify the file/files to be attached to answer. Instead, after Vendorful generates a draft of answers, you will have the opportunity to add attachments as part of the answer to specific questions.
To start this process, you simply need to click the "Add Attachment" button, which you can see in the above screenshot. This will result in a pop-up window being displayed:
From here, you can click the "browse your files" link and it will open up your computer's local file browser, or you can drag and drop a file right into the window. Bear in mind that you can only drop one attachment at a time. Once you've added the attachment, it will be visible in the user interface. Additionally, the answer will now have a tag, indicating that it has an attachment. Note that in the resulting response, some additional language pertaining to the attachment will be automatically included. In the example below, it would be "Please see the attached file: ACME_CRM_setup_plan.docx." In practice, the generated text will reference by name whatever file you uploaded.
Using the filter on the upper part of this Review Answers screen, you can select an option to see only those answers that have attachments.
Deleting an Attachment
To delete an attachment that has been uploaded to Vendorful, you simply click the garbage can icon on the right side of the screen.
Downloading Attachments
When you are ready to download your completed questionnaire, you click the "Export Response" button on the upper right side of the page:
Doing this will generate a zip file that includes the response itself as well as all of the attachments.
